Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide processed wash-free rice enabling daily-base ingestion of lactobacillus through utilizing cooked rice suitable for being taken as daily eating. SOLUTION: The processed wash-free rice is obtained by spraying killed lactobacillus bacteria-dispersed suspension on rice from which adhering bran adhering to the surface of polished rice is removed, drying the rice and applying the killed bacteria of the lactobacillus to the surface of the wash-free rice. It is preferable that the lactobacillus comprises lactobacillus micrococcus whose bacillus size is relatively small so as to obtain favorable stability in adhesion of the lactobacillus to the surface of the rice. The processed wash-free rice bears comparison with unprocessed wash-free rice in appearance, taste, flavor, palate feeling and the like, and is preferably used as health maintenance/promotion food.
