PACKET TRANSMISSION RECEPTION METHOD AND APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packet transmission reception method and apparatus capable of efficiently using wireless resources by preventing transmission of useless re-transmission packet when a propagation path state differs between a first packet transmission state and a packet re-transmission state. SOLUTION: The packet transmission reception apparatus using a combination between the AMC system wherein a modulation parameter depending on a state of the propagation path is selected and packet data are transmitted and the H-ARQ system wherein re-transmission data are transmitted when the packet data are erroneous and data are reproduced by composing the re-transmission data with the erroneous packet data received before, is configured to include: a comparison means for comparing the modulation parameter of the packet data determined by the AMC control and transmitted at first with a modulation parameter determined by the AMC control on the basis of the reception quality when the re-transmission packet data are transmitted; and a re-transmission control means for controlling the number of re-transmission times to stop re-transmission when the modulation parameter at the re-transmission is compatible with lower propagation path quality than that at a first time transmission.
