description PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Francis turbine for reducing manufacturing cost, by improving so as not to spread transitional behavior to an external part, and simplifying a guide vane opening-closing means, while reducing a space of a device, so as to be applicable to hydraulic power generation of a medium-high head. SOLUTION: This Francis turbine for the hydraulic power generation has an annular conduit composed of an inner peripheral wall of opening one end side and closing the other end side and an outer peripheral wall arranged outside the inner peripheral wall, a water turbine main shaft rotatably supported via a bearing in an inside space formed of the inner peripheral wall of the annular conduit, a runner installed on one end of the water turbine main shaft so as to integrally rotate with the water turbine main shaft, a generator connected to the water turbine main shaft, a casing connected to one end side of the annular conduit and arranged on the outer periphery of the runner so as to make flowing water from the annular conduit flow in the runner, and a plurality of guide vanes of accelerating and supplying the flowing water taken in from the casing to the runner.
