DIGITAL TELEVISION RECEIVER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital television receiver which is capable of utilizing specific functions possessed by a connection apparatus connected to a network from a digital television receiver side. SOLUTION: Data broadcasting is tuned which transmits sub-programs or parameters for an iLink special panel, and a model is set. The iLink special panel is formed on a display screen in accordance with the selected iLink special panel data. In this case, a conventional panel (it is a panel originally provided to a television receiving set) and a special panel with a simple menu acquired through the above processing are displayed side by side on the same screen. A general operation menu, such as a time, on/off of a power supply, a stop, reproduction, a temporary stop, input setting, etc., and a simple menu as a special panel, such as special reproduction 1, special reproduction 2, HELP, and a bit rate are displayed on the display screen.
