description | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enlarge a LCD at a back of a camera body by forming a gripping area to be each pinched by fingers of a photographer at both end portions in width direction at above and below surfaces of the camera body, and by preventing displacement of the fingers at the gripping area of the both end portions in width direction in at least an above surface or at the gripping area at an end portion of the width direction at the above and below surfaces. SOLUTION: The digital camera has a camera body 1 whose outer shape is defined by above and below surfaces and front and back surfaces to be opposed each other. An imaging lens 21 is disposed at a front surface of the camera body 1, while a LCD 11 is disposed at a back surface. Gripping areas 30R, 30L, 40R, 40L to be each pinched by the fingers of the photographer at the both end portions in width direction at the above and below surfaces of the camera body 1. Recessed portions 31, 41 are provided at the gripping areas 30R, 40R, and ribs 32, 42 are provided at the gripping areas 30L, 40L. Thereby the LCD 11 can be enlarged, because the gripping portion for holding the camera body 1 becomes unnecessary. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
