Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-line monitoring method and apparatus for welding accuracy of a laser beam welding machine which can stabilze a continuous line operation by monitoring the welding quality of a weld zone in butt-welded metallic belts by a detector without any visual observation. SOLUTION: In the on-line monitoring method of welding accuracy of a laser beam welding machine and the on-line monitoring apparatus using the method, the normal/defective welding quality of a butt-welded zone is decided on the basis of a deviation of an actual cutting line from a reference cutting line as detected in the longitudinal direction of the metallic belts, at the time of elevation of a lower shear blade in a process of cutting both opposing ends of the metallic belts by a shear machine.
