COMPENSATING CHAIN GUIDE DEVICE FOR ELEVATOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a compensating chain guide device for an elevator capable of responding to a various types of elevator devices and of securely preventing contact with a compensating chain. SOLUTION: This compensating chain guide device is provided with the compensating chain 8 connected between a car 2 and a counterweight 3 lifted/lowered in opposite directions inside an elevator hoistway, respectively, and having an intermediate part folded back inside a hoistway pit part; a compensating chain guide which is arranged between the car 2 side and the counterweight 3 side of the compensating chain 8 inside the hoistway pit part, and of which portion intersecting with the compensating chain 8 on a vertical projection plane is arranged immediately below the car 2; and a support means 12 provided in a hoistway fixation body, and supporting the compensating chain guide such that the intersecting portion of the compensating chain guide becomes movable downwardly by a predetermined distance from a support position during normal operation. Due to this configuration, when the car 2 is moved downwardly from a lifting/lowering range during normal operation, the compensating chain guide is interlocked with the car 2 and moved downwardly.
