SOLUTION: In a liquid ejection head comprising a body plate in which recesses are formed, and a nozzle plate having nozzles communicating, respectively, with cavities formed by covering the recesses in the body plate and ejecting droplets from ejection holes, the nozzle plate composed of SiO2and having a flat surface provided with the ejection holes and a borosilicate glass layer containing movable ions formed on the surface covering the body plate is bonded to the body plate composed of Si not through adhesive.
