description | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a music reproducing apparatus in which power consumption can be suppressed. SOLUTION: Music is selected by a cursor key 3 and reproduction operation is performed by a decision key 4 in a state in which a power source of the music reproducing apparatus 1 is turned on. Access is performed to a buffer memory 12 and it is confirmed whether a selected music exists in the buffer memory 12 or not. When the selected music exists in the buffer memory 12, the selected music is reproduced. When the selected music does not exist in the buffer memory 12, music data of the music selected from a hard disk 11 is read and is written in the buffer memory 12. The buffer memory 12 uses a nonvolatile memory. When music is reproduced, it is reproduced by the buffer memory 11. Since the hard disk is not started whenever music data is reproduced, power consumption can be suppressed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
