Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent use of a blank card formed from a card to be authenticated by information recorded in a magnetic card. SOLUTION: This card identification device confirms, when image data of both sides of a card inserted to a card insert port of an ATM is acquired by imaging both the sides by a CCD module, whether an image is recorded or not, and collates the image data of both the sides with image data of a registered image which is preliminarily registered and stored, when the image is recorded, to confirm whether the registered image is formed or not (steps 100-110). When the card is a blank card having no image or the registered image is not recorded therein, this card is identified to be false (step 116), and this identification result is outputted to an authentication part of the ATM (step 114).
