SOLUTION: A method for recovering the trifluoroacetaldehyde hemiacetal is characterized as follows. The aqueous solution of the trifluoroacetaldehyde is extracted with an alcohol represented by general formula (1) ROH (1) (wherein, R represents a 4-10C straight-chain or a 4-10C branched alkyl group) to recover the trifluoroacetaldehyde hemiacetal as an alcohol solution of the trifluoroacetaldehyde hemiacetal represented by general formula (2) [wherein, R is the same as defined in general formula (1)].
