Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing carbon fiber with high tensile strength and high tensile modulus without impairing its productivity and process smoothness. SOLUTION: A polyacrylonitrile-based polymer for carbon fiber precursor fiber has an intrinsic viscosity [η] of 1.5-2.2, an oxidation depth D of 3.6-6.0μm when subjected to flameproofing treatment and a melting point Tm under moist heat of 191-200°C measured by DSC (differential scanning calorimetry). The methods for producing carbon fiber precursor fiber using the above polymer and the resultant carbon fiber are also provided, respectively. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
