description PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a most complete data set possible to be recorded in a short period of time. SOLUTION: The invention relates to a method and device for imaging an organ (H) of a human or animal body (K) that cyclically has a first movement phase suitable for imaging and a second movement phase unsuitable for imaging, with an imaging device (1) supported such that it can be rotated at an angular velocity (ω) around the body (K) recording images of the organ (H) from different angle positions (αn1), with the angular velocity (ω) being modulated with a reference signal representing the movement phase of the organ (H). The imaging device (1) is rotated during the first movement phase, with images of the organ being recorded from angle positions of a first angle range (αn) at a nominal angular velocity (ωN). At the latest at the end of the first angle range (αn) during the second movement phase directly following the first movement phase, the imaging device (1) is slowed down so that the imaging device (1) reaches a nominal angular velocity (ωN) at the starting of the first movement phase directly following the second movement phase, and turned back and accelerated again.
