description | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical recording medium having a plurality of optical recording layers wherein recording is performed by two-photon absorption or multiphoton absorption and capable of reducing adverse influence on the optical recording layers by suppressing photochemical change of the optical recording layers by irradiation with UV when an intermediate layer comprising a UV curable material is formed and to provide its manufacturing method at low costs. SOLUTION: (1) The optical recording medium has two or more pairs of three layer structures each having the optical recording layer wherein recording is performed by two-photon absorption or multiphoton absorption, a UV absorption layer having 100 to 1,000 nm film thickness and the intermediate layer comprising the UV curable material which are laminated in this order on a substrate. (2) The optical recording medium has two or more pairs of three layer structures each having the optical recording layer wherein recording is performed by two-photon absorption or multiphoton absorption, a UV absorption layer having 100 to 1,000 nm film thickness and the intermediate layer comprising the UV curable material which are laminated in this order on the substrate and further has spacer layers inserted in the intermediate layers between adjacent three layer structures so that each intermediate layer is separated into two layers.
