SEAT SLIDE DEVICE FOR VEHICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively suppress the generation of noise while insuring smooth seat slide. SOLUTION: The seat slide device for a vehicle comprises a lower rail 1 formed to have a generally U-shaped cross section, and bending right and left opening edges inward in opposite directions to form a top wall 12 generally parallel with a bottom wall 11; an upper rail 2 provided with main rollers at both end portions in a longitudinal direction, and moving along the lower rail 1 due to rolling on the bottom wall 11 of the main rollers; sub rollers 34 provided neat the main rollers; and coil spring 32 energizing the sub rollers 34 to abut on the top wall 12, and making the main rollers abut on the bottom wall 11 by reaction force which the sub rollers 34 receive at that time. The sub rollers 34 are rotatably supported at both ends of a shaft element 341 crossing and penetrating a cover element 33, and the cover element 33 and the shaft element 341 are guided by a guide hole 314 and a guide protrusion 313 so as to vertically move in a predetermined range.
