PTC ELEMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a PTC (positive temperature coefficient) element capable of suppressing a lead terminal from peeling from an element body. SOLUTION: The PTC element 1 comprises the element body 10 yielded by dispersing a conductive filler in crystalline high polymers; and a pair of terminal electrodes 12, 14 thermocompression bonded putting the element body 10 therebetween. The pair of the terminal electrodes 12, 14 each have overlapping regions 121, 141 overlapping the element body 10; and non-overlapping regions 122, 142 prevented from overlapping the element body 10. The non-overlapping regions 122, 142 of each of the pair of the terminal electrodes 12, 14 include a wide-ranging part 122a where the terminal electrodes 12, 14 each have a wide-ranging width in their direction extending from the element body 10 and a narrow width 122b having a narrower width than that of the wide-ranging part 122a, both being formed continuously.
