ELECTRIC RAZOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the safety of an electric razor having a pair of, front and back, cutters by preventing the user from getting injured by accidentally inserting fingers through the pair of inner blade. SOLUTION: A safety mechanism for inner blades is located in the center space S formed between counter peripheral faces of a pair of cutters 51 and 51. The safety mechanism comprises a pair of, front and back, protectors 53 and 53, pinions 54 and 54 fixed to the protectors 53 and 53, an operation rack 55 for turning the pinions 54 and 54, an actuation spring 56 standing and energizing the protectors 53, and the like. The protectors 53 and 53 have a base 57 continuing to a swinging shaft 52 and two or more protecting pieces 58 which are fixed on the base 57 with a predetermined interval, and shield the counter peripheral faces of the pair of cutters 51. At their waiting positions, the protecting pieces 58 and 58 for the protectors 53 and 53 are alternatingly protruding beyond the front-back center of the center space S as they keep closer to the counter bases 57 and 57.
