SOLUTION: This pyrotechnic actuator is provided with a housing (1) having a dead space (2), a piston (3) is movably held in the dead space (2), the piston (3) can be moved from an initial position, that is, a non-operational position, to a terminal end position by gas generated at the ignition of an ignition element (10) provided in the dead space, and a piston rod (4) of the piston (3) restricts a function element (6) in the non-operational position and releases the function element (6) in the terminal end position. As an integral structure part, the housing (1) has a part (7) for mounting the pyrotechnic actuator to an automobile and at least one of a supporting section (21) for at least one of locking means (5).
