DEVICE FOR PRODUCING DENTAL WORKPIECE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for producing a dental workpiece, machining a blank more favorably. SOLUTION: The blank 13 is inserted in a substantially slab-shaped support body 10 of the device, and the support body is dimensioned such that the blank 13 does not extend beyond it in any direction. The blank 13 is linked with corresponding inner walls of a recess 12 provided in the support body 10 only on two opposite faces while a gap is left between the other inner walls of the recess 12 and the corresponding faces of the blank 13. Therefore, tensions and microcracks of the blank material caused thereby are allowed to be avoided. The gaps further make the blank 13 directly accessible for a lateral working by a milling tool.
