NON-CONTACT IC, INFORMATION PROCESSOR, READER/WRITER, AND USAGE LIMITING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-contact IC whose usage limitation can be set regardless of the state of a related device without damaging user's convenience in normal usage, an information processor provided with the non-contact IC, and a reader/writer which performs transmission/reception of information to/from the non-contact IC, and a usage limiting method for limiting the use of the non-contact IC. SOLUTION: When a portable telephone terminal 100 is put over the reader/writer 200, the reader/writer 200 acquires a chip serial number from the portable telephone terminal 100 and requests a reader/writer managing device 300 to determine the acceptance/rejection of using the portable telephone terminal. The reader/writer managing device 300 collates the chip serial number with a lock object database 310, and responds to the reader/writer 200 that the non-contact IC 110 cannot be used, when detecting the same chip serial number. Then the reader/writer 200 transmits a lock request to the portable telephone terminal 100. Consequently, the non-contact IC in the portable telephone terminal 100 becomes a state its use is limited.
