Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To apply a dephosphorizing treatment efficiently by using a small amount of flux for lime based dephosphorization without using a large amount of fluorite when a low phosphorus molten iron is produced by applying the dephosphorizing treatment to the molten iron. SOLUTION: In the method for producing the low phosphorus molten iron by adding oxygen source 18 and the lime based flux 17 for dephosphorization into a vessel 2 holding the molten iron 16 to apply the dephosphorizing treatment to the molten iron, the oxygen gas and at least a part of the lime based flux 17 for dephosphorization are injected on the molten iron surface through a top-blown lance 4, and also the solid oxygen source 18 injected into the molten iron is supplied into the periphery of the firing point R caused by blowing the oxygen gas together with gas for carrying. In this case, it is desirable that at least a part of the lime based flux for dephosphorization supplied from the top-blown lance, together with gas for carrying, is injected to the firing point and the injecting speed of the solid oxygen source is made to 0.03-1 kg/min×ton of molten iron.
