description PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric motor in which segments having the same potential are electrically connected to one another by terminals when the number of the segments is large, and a fuel pump using the motor. SOLUTION: The motor 30 rotatively drives an impeller 26 of the pump 20. A permanent magnet 32 of the motor 30 has four pieces of magnetic poles different in polarities in a rotative direction. Each slot 50 of an armature 40 has six pieces of coils 62, 63 in total that are formed by concentrically being wound with windings. The coils 62, 63 are delta-connected to one another. A leading terminal and an ending terminal of each coil 62, 63 are connected to a terminal 64 of a rectifier 70 side. Twelve pieces of the segments 72 are arranged in the rotative direction at the rectifier 70. The segments 72 arranged at the opposite side in the radial direction are electrically connected to one another by the connecting terminals such as an intermediate terminal 81, connecting terminals 84, 88, 96 or the like. A plurality of the connecting terminals constitute two groups of the connecting terminals displaced from each other in the axial direction. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
