SOLUTION: The image forming device is equipped with an image forming part to form images on a recording sheet of paper according to the image data and an output part having the delivery tray to output the sheets recorded, in the delivery tray without a means to detect overflowing of sheets, further a controlling means is installed whereby the output control for the output of the sheets recorded is stopped and restarted at the prescribed number of sheets, and when the cumulated number of printed sheets after power-on exceeds the prescribed number within a certain time, a message is emitted that overflowing the tray is likely, or the device is stopped operating temporarily.
