description PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lever type connector which improves fitting workability of both housings. SOLUTION: This is the lever type connector in which a slide lever 13 is displaced from the initial position to a fitting position by pressing a pushing-in operational face 23 which has been formed at a slide lever 13 arranged at a female side housing 12, and the both housings 11, 12 are fitted by guiding a cam pin 16 of the male side housing 11 along a cam groove 17 of the slide lever 13. A pushing-in operational face 23 is arranged near the rear end face of fitting direction of the female side housing 12. By this, since the finger which has been holding a position near the rear end face in the fitting direction of the female side housing 12 can be switched to and suspended by the pushing-in operational face 23 of the slide lever 13 by making move by only the side of the female side housing 12, the fitting workability of the both housings 11, 12 is improved.
