description PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ring type binder, in which the smooth opening and closing operation of rings can be performed in a comparatively simple structure and, in addition, the improvement in designability and manufacturability, the improvement in structural strength and quality stability and further the reduction of cost or the like can be achieved. SOLUTION: This binder is equipped with a case-shaped base part 2, a plurality of rings 3, which are provided in the base part and change between closed ring postures and open ring postures through the contact and separation of the free ends of one side ring pieces 31 and of the other side ring pieces 32 with and from each other, a first supporting member 4 for supporting the basic ends of one side ring pieces and a second supporting member 5 for supporting the basic ends of the other side ring pieces, both of which being arranged in the base part parallel to each other, an operating member 6 reciprocatively provided along the longitudinal direction of the base part 2, and a changing-over mechanism, which is provided between the first supporting member 4 and the second supporting member 5 and the operating member 6 and tilts the first supporting member and the second supporting member about the base part so as to change the respective rings between the closed ring postures and the open ring postures during the reciprocating motion of the operating member 6.
