VIDEO MONITORING SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video monitor system for carrying out monitoring on the basis of a camera video obtained by photographing an entire monitoring area. SOLUTION: The monitoring system has an automatic tracking function for automatically tracking the video of a motion-detected target based on the camera video to display its enlarged video, a designated tracking function for automatically tracking the target video designated on the entire video by an operator to display its enlarged video, a manual tracking function for tracking so as to follow up a position designated on the entire video by the operator to display its enlarged video, an automatic panning function for segmenting a video in a fixed section moving with time so as to perform patrolling in the monitoring area on the basis of the camera video obtained by photographing the entire monitoring area to display its enlarged video, and a home position function for segmenting the video in the area from the entire video to display its enlarged video after the operator designates the target on the entire video. The video of the target is selected according to the priority of each function designated in accordance with the situation, and the target video is displayed by automatically switching the display forms.
