Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas phase cleaning body which has such an action that a specific substance such as a toxic substance in the gas phase can be highly efficiently decomposed/removed with excellent selectivity, and to provide a gas phase cleaning unit including the gas phase cleaning body and a gas phase cleaning method, and to provide a gas phase cleaning body and a gas phase cleaning unit which exhibit such the action even after preserved for a long period of time and keeps such the action over a long period of time. SOLUTION: The gas phase cleaning body for capturing a substance in the gas phase and decomposing the captured substance by an enzyme contains the enzyme, a polymer containing 2-(meth)acryloyl-oxyethylphosphorylcholine and water and has such a state that the enzyme is dispersed in the polymer and solidified. The gas phase cleaning unit is characterized in that the gas phase cleaning body is arranged on a substrate so that the gas phase cleaning body can be brought into contact with the gas phase.
