ROOF TILE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roof tile capable of freely adjusting a quantity of overlap in the ridge direction of a roof. SOLUTION: The roof tile is equipped with a tile body 3, a side edge section 4 on the neck side and a side edge section 5 on a sash bar side, a rain water flowing down groove 15 flowing down rain water overflowed from the tile body 3 is formed over the head section from the tail section in the side edge section 4 on the neck section and, at the same time, the roof tile 1 forming a terrace section 10 having a predetermined length in the direction of the width in a position connecting the rain water flowing down groove 15 and the roof body 3 is so constituted that the rain water flowing down groove 15 of one of the roof tile 1 is coated with the side edge section on the sash bar side from the above by making the side edge section 4 on the neck site of the one of the roof tile 1 overlap on the lower surface of the side edge section 5 on the sash bar side of the other of the roof tile 1 roofed by neighboring in the ridge direction of the roof in the case it is laid and, at the same time, that the side edge section 5 on the sash bar side is placed on the terrace section 10 in a coating state thereof.
