description | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized and narrow-frame liquid crystal display device excellent in a cooling function, high in luminance and excellent in color reproducibility relating to the liquid crystal display device used for a display part of an electronic device. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device 1 comprises a back surface frame 7 provided with a raised part 8 formed by bending a long side end part and a heat sink 27 in thermal contact with the back surface frame 7. Thus, the heat generated in an LED 11 is efficiently radiated. Also, the liquid crystal display device 1 is provided with a liquid crystal display panel driving circuit divided into a data substrate 23 and a control substrate 29. By arranging the data substrate 23 on the side face of the liquid crystal display device 1 and arranging the control substrate 29 on the side of the heat sink 27, the liquid crystal display device 1 is turned to a small-sized and narrow-frame structure.
