In addition, the apparatus is provided with a control means for adjusting an amount of toner in a specific color that composes a multi-color toner image, such that the surface potential (Vpk) of a triple black (PK) toner image and the surface potential (Vk) of a reference toner image composed of 100% of dot area proportion have the relation of Vpk≤3.8×Vk.
