SOLUTION: This fluid quick connector has a housing and a sleeve movable between a first position and a second position within the housing upon engagement with an endform inserted into the housing. A retainer mounted on the housing has at least radially inward extending protrusion which extends through an aperture in the housing into engagement with the endform to latch the endform in the housing. The sleeve, when in the first position, blocks extension of the protrusion through the aperture in the housing to allow insertion of the endform in the housing.
