COLOR IMAGING DEVICE AND COLOR IMAGE SIGNAL COMPENSATION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color imaging device by which a high-quality image can be realized by suppressing false color near the edge of an object of shooting. SOLUTION: The color imaging device 1 is provided with a solid state imaging device 13 on which color filters 12 of several types are arranged, a color carrier component removal processing section 17 which removes color carrier components from original signals outputted from the solid state imaging device 13, a signal compensation processing section 18 which compensates difference in light intensity between pixels to be compensated and pixels in the neighborhood of the original signals according to the proportion or difference between the pixel to be compensated and the pixels in the neighborhood in the signals from which color carrier components are removed by the color carrier component removal processing section 17 and a brightness/color signal processing section 19 which generate color signals and brightness signals from correction signals compensated by the signal compensation processing section 18.
