IMAGE DISPLAY CONTROLLER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display controller which realizes a vertical shifting function and a horizontal inversion function with small-scale circuit constitution. SOLUTION: When execution of the vertical shifting function and horizontal inversion function is inputted from an operation portion 17, a timing signal generation portion 15 generates readout control signals for line memories 12a and 12b so that addresses decrease reversely to writing to the line memory and also generates and supplies vertical and horizontal synchronization signals for output responding to vertical shifting to a synchronization signal composing circuit 16. Data of output video signals from the line memories 12a and 12b are supplied to a D/A converter 13 and converted into video signals, which are supplied to the synchronization signal composing circuit 16. The synchronization signal composing circuit 16 generates a video signal to be outputted by adding the vertical and horizontal synchronization signals for output to the supplied video signals and supplies the resulting signal to a poststage.
