ELASTIC PLUG FOR IN-PIPE WORK, AND ITS APPLICATION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To neatly carry out attachment such that a gap between a long body and a cylinder can be airtightly blocked. SOLUTION: The elastic plug D for in-pipe work is provided to allow airtight blocking of the gap between the long body and the cylinder by forming a cutout 5 allowing fitting of the long body into a through-hole from a cylinder radial direction on a cylindrical elastic material 4 provided with the through-hole 1 which can be airtightly inserted with the long body for in-pipe work, pressing in the cylindrical elastic material with the long body fit in the through hole so as to closely contact an inner side of the cylinder airtightly surrounding an opening of a piping, and carrying out elastic compressive deformation in the cylinder radial direction. The slit is formed such that at least one parts of elastic material end faces facing each other on both sides of the slit face each other in a cylinder axis X direction, and end face portions 5b facing each other in the cylinder axis direction are provided such that they can be pressed into the inner side of the cylinder.
