METHOD, SYSTEM AND DEVICE FOR IDENTIFICATION OF NO RESPONSE SECTION OF COMPUTER PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To identify a no response section of a computer program. SOLUTION: According to this method, the program code which has possibility to produce potentially no response action is lapped over by a timer. The timer is started on a background thread in the beginning of execution of a program code section. The timer is set so as to be expired after the lapse of a prescribed threshold period. During the execution of the program code section, determination is made whether the timer expires or not. When the timer expires during the execution of the program code section, the execution is interrupted, the program code section is identified as no response, and information of a system state is stored to be used for diagnosis of the computer program, and repairs of no response behavior.
