METHOD FOR PREPARING INTER-FREQUENCY HAND-OVER, MOBILE STATION AND NETWORK COMPONENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a flexible method that prepares the inter-frequency hand-over from a 1st frequency to a 2nd frequency for a communication connection. SOLUTION: The method includes a step 603 where data transmission/reception is periodically intermitted at the 1st frequency for a prescribed transmission gap and a step 607 where measurement is carried out by the 2nd frequency during this transmission gap. Number of the transmission gap is at least one for each transmission period, and a certain sequence having transmission periods 420, 520 is used. The intermittent step 603 has sub steps 604, 606 where data transmission/reception is intermitted, during at least one transmission period with respect to transmission gaps 311, 411 and 312, 412 having 1st and 2nd different consecutive durations, respectively.
