Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve work efficiency by ensuring improved accuracy in the position of the end face of an optical fiber relative to the axis of the optical fiber in the direction of its axial rotation when a laser diode and the optical fiber are aligned. SOLUTION: An optical fiber alignment apparatus includes: a rough adjustment rotational unit 4 having a coaxial cylindrical rotational plate 5 for rotating the optical fiber 2 around the axis of the optical fiber 2, and a fixing part for fixing the optical fiber 2; and a fine adjustment rotational unit 6 having an elastic body 7 rotated by the drive of a motor around an axis different from the axis of the optical fiber 2 and having a diameter smaller than that of the rotational plate 5, and a position fixing pin for fixing the position of the rough adjustment rotational unit 4. While the elastic body 7 is in firm contact with the rotational plate 5, the optical fiber 2 is rotated around its axis in order to make a fine adjustment. Thus, the optical fiber 2 is aligned.
