PRE-TREATMENT METHOD FOR SPLICING OF WEB AND ITS DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a distal end and an ear part of a web from being backwardly bent by wind pressure at the time of splicing of the web. SOLUTION: The pre-treatment method for splicing of web comprises a web paying out step for cutting/removing a skin layer part of the web P and paying out a distal end part of the web P; a cutting/adhesive layer formation step for cutting the paid out part of the web P to an approximately V shape and forming the adhesive layer 1a for splicing of approximately V shape on a distal end surface of the web P; a cutting step for cutting an apex part of the web P in a width direction; and a pre-treatment tape sticking step for sticking a pre-treatment tape 2 for splicing having the adhesive layer 2b for splicing on a surface of a sheet base material 2a and provided with an adhesive layer 2c stuck on the distal end surface of the web P and a surface layer peelable adhesive part 2d stuck on an outer surface of the web P on a back surface of the sheet base material 2a on the distal end surface of the web P in the state that the adhesive part 2d is forwardly projected from the distal end of the web P; and a web P distal end securing step for re-winding the distal end of the web P and sticking the adhesive part 2d of the pre-treatment tape 2 for splicing on the outer surface of the web P.
