Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a facsimile device capable of automatically faxing image information of a book original manuscript by directly reading it. SOLUTION: The facsimile device is provided with an original manuscript read face 19, on which the book original manuscript is mounted, automatic paper feed parts 94a, 94b for feeding a sheet original manuscript, and a reading head 25 for reading the sheet original manuscript or the book original manuscript. When the reading head 25 reads the book original manuscript on the original manuscript read face 19, it is moved along the original manuscript read face 19.
