PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pump using especially fluid responding to a magnetic field, such as magnetic fluid and MR fluid, in which pump efficiency is improved, its size and power consumption are reduced, and its discharge pressure is increased. SOLUTION: An expandable tube 18 enclosing the MR fluid 17 is disposed in an annular channel 16. A part of the tube 18 is bonded and fixed to a small diameter side wall face of the channel 16. A four pole circular rotating magnet 6 is disposed to an inner diameter side of the channel 16, and a cylindrical second magnet 28 is disposed to an outer diameter side of the channel 16 to rotate integrally with the rotating magnet 6, so that they are rotated by an external drive means through a drive shaft 5A. The MR fluid is aggregated between both magnetic poles of the magnets 6, 28 to expand the tube so that the tube moves peristaltically along with the rotation of the magnets.
