HEAD DRUM APPARATUS AND MAGNETIC RECORDING AND REPRODUCING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head drum apparatus and a magnetic recording and reproducing apparatus in which a whole apparatus can be miniaturized by constituting a rotary transformer compactly. SOLUTION: In a cylindrical rotary transformer, a pair of cores 210, 230 constituting four opposing planes multiplexed concentrically are arranged opposing in the vertical direction, the lower part core 210 constitutes a fixed side core fixed to a fixed drum 11 side, the upper part core 230 constitutes a rotary side core fixed to a rotary drum 10 side. Coils 121-124 and coils 141-144 for transmitting a recording signal constituting respectively channels for recording are arranged at central circumference grooves Ds12, Ds22, Ds32, Ds42, Dr12, Dr22, Dr32, Dr42, and coils 131-138, 151-158 for transmitting a reproduced signal constituting channels for reproduction are arranged at the both sides of the circumference grooves.
