Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately adjust toner concentration, by using an amount of reflected light from a toner patch formed on an image carrier. SOLUTION: Using optical sensors 2a and 2b and a light-receiving circuit 17, a CPU 61 captures data on fluctuation in an amount of reflected light from the image carrier, before a specific toner image is formed and data on an amount of reflected light from the specific toner image formed on the image carrier. Subsequently, using the data on the fluctuation and an amount of correction of the amount of reflected light which corresponds to the proportion of toner area in the formation of the specific toner image, the CPU 61 or an output value correcting section 65 corrects the value of the amount of reflected light from the specific toner image.
