Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a curve parameter generating method for elliptic curve encryption capable of high-speed generation of an elliptic curve parameter which can be used for a cryptosystem. SOLUTION: In the curve parameter generating method for the elliptic curve encryption, by previously determining a prime number q and an order r of an elliptic curve, the entire processing of generating the elliptic curve parameter with regard to the elliptic curve E:y2=x3+ax+b on a finite field GF(q) with the prime number q as a modulus is facilitated and the speed for the processing of generating the curve parameter for encryption is enhanced.
