Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shape / hardness input and output system which can transmit the shape and hardness of an article or the like in a remote place bidirectionally in real time to an operator. SOLUTION: The shape / hardness input and output system is provided with: a first, and a second shape / hardness input and output unit which detects and presents the shape and hardness of an article; a first, and a second control device which control the first and second shape / hardness input and output units; and a network which connects the first and the second control devices. By laying an article, the holding down pressure and the displacement amount added to the the first shape / hardness input and output unit or the first second shape / hardness input and output unit, are detected. The detected holding down pressure and displacement amount are transmitted to the second shape / hardness input and output unit or the first shape / hardness input and output unit in order to control the second shape / hardness input and output unit or the first shape / hardness input and output unit.
