description PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent occlusion of spout hole 21 of a combustion chamber by preventing sedimentation of falling objects adjacent to each spout hole. SOLUTION: The invention relates to the bottom structure for combustion chamber of a coke oven provided with nozzles 21 for fuel gas and air on the bottom face of the combustion chamber 2. The nozzle 21 is formed on the top of a protruding block 20 installed on the bottom face of the combustion chamber 2. The anxiety of occlusion of the nozzle is eliminated even if the falling objects fall on the nozzle because the nozzle 21 is mounted on a position higher than the periphery and therefore falling objects fall down to the periphery at the low position. The falling objects falling down close to the nozzle are more easily fallen down to the periphery by setting the periphery of the nozzle 21 at the top of the block to have a down slope 21a to the outside. The functional deterioration of the combustion chamber 2 hardly occurs by forming grooves 22 from the nozzle to the side of the block on the periphery of the nozzle 21 on the top of the block, because the gas which reached the nozzle 21 can spout out into the combustion chamber by passing the groove 22 even if the falling objects occlude the nozzle. As a result the deterioration of the combustion chamber is hard to occur and a stable production of coke is carried out. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
