METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING ULTRA FINE TUBE BODY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily manufacture an ultra fine tube body of 0.05 to 0.1 mm in inner diameter and 0.08 to 0.13 mm in outer diameter for manufacturing an extra fine contact probe. SOLUTION: An ultra fine tube body made of gold or a gold alloy, with a core bar made of an ultra fine linear body inserted therethrough, is put through a die. Then, the tube body is nipped from above and below by a tool with a half-round groove of a diameter larger than that of the tube body, with the groove formed in a sandwiching part for the tube body. This is hammered and then mounted on the die. The core bar made of the linear body is pulled out to form the tube body. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
