Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid electrolytic capacitor having proper electrostatic capacitance characteristics. SOLUTION: The solid electrolytic capacitor is provided with a capacitor element constituted by winding an anode foil and a cathode foil with a separator holding a conductive polymer in between. Since a planar foil having a coating film, composed of a metal carbide-nitride on its surface as the cathode foil is used, the electrostatic capacitance and the ESR characteristics of the capacitor are satisfactory due to the proper continuity of the coating film composed of the metal carbide-nitride.
