The tail pipe P is offset to the outside relative to the vertical centerline L of the muffler body Mm so that a radial clearance between the side cover Cs and the outer peripheral surface of the muffler body Mn becomes maximum at the outermost part of the muffler body Mm and the tail pipe P is passed through the roughly center position of the rear cover Cr.
