Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To drive efficiently from a low speed region to a high speed region while suppressing the effect of an error incident to installation of a pole position detecting means as much as possible. SOLUTION: In intermediate and high speed regions generating a sufficient speed electromotive force, a control microcomputer 38 turns switches 57 and 58 to θ2 and ω2 sides and performs vector control of a motor 14 based on a rotational phase angle θ2 estimated by a pole position estimator 56 with high accuracy. In a low speed region where a sufficient speed electromotive force cannot be attained, the control microcomputer 38 turns the switches 57 and 58 to θ1 and ω1 sides and performs vector control of the motor 14 based on a rotational phase angle θ2 detected directly by a pole position detector 37.
