SOLUTION: This heat exchanger is constituted so that, to the heat exchanger body 101, the exhaust pipe 40 extending from a garbage disposal vessel 1 is connected, and in the heat exchanger body 101, a heat exchange chamber 112 that performs the heat exchange between exhaust gas introduced from the exhaust pipe 40 and external air is formed, and in the heat exchanger body 101, a cleaning port 102 opened and closed by an opening/closing cover is opened, and the inside of the heat exchanger body 101 can be cleaned from the cleaning port 102 with the exhaust pipes 40, 41 maintained in the connected state.
